Welcome to the website of Newbridge School.
We are a community special school catering for up to 138 children and young people between the ages of two and nineteen years who have a complex learning difficulty, which is often accompanied by additional special educational needs, which may include;
- Physical disabilities
- Sensory impairments
- Autistic Spectrum disorders
- Challenging behaviour
- Medical needs
We have two school campuses, which are within one mile of each other.
Gresham Drive Campus is for pupils in Early Years Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3
and
Barley Lane Campus for students between the ages of 14 and 19.
Pupils transfer from Gresham Drive to Barley Lane Campus at the end of Key Stage 3 and are supported to do this through a well-planned transition programme. Please note that from September 2013 onwards, Gresham Drive Campus will cater for pupils between the ages of 2 and 11 and Barley Lane for those between 11 and 19. This means that pupils will transfer from Gresham Drive to Barley Lane Campus at the end of Key Stage 2 (Year 6)
We also manage a range of special educational needs services, which provide support and advice throughout the London Borough of Redbridge.
We hope you enjoy looking at the website, please feel free to contact us if you would like to find out more about our work or request paper copies of some of the information
